Student Ministries |
Our desire is to:
Be the love of Jesus by
Serving those around us
Connecting with God and each other by
Surrendering ourselves
Growing inHis word and
Enjoying one another. |
The Student Ministries Department has witnessed a continued move of God’s Spirit. The goal of Catalyst, Quest and Rock being places where all people can come and feel loved, accepted and safe is becoming more of a reality. Our local missions focus has continued partnering with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and City Team Ministries in Oakland and San Francisco. Over the past year we have also served at Saint Anthony’s Dining Hall in San Francisco. This experience has provided the students with a tangible and practical way to reach out so others may experience God’s love through them. In addition, the students continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and form crucial Christian friendships. |
Invitation and Encouragement |
I would like to invite and encourage all of you to seriously consider and pray about how God can use you to impact the lives of junior high and high school students. What truly matters in youth ministry as in all of ministry is not how much you know but how much you care. These students need to feel loved, accepted and safe and you volunteering your time and talents to provide such an atmosphere is key in bringing in those who do not know Christ in a personal way. I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and experience the joy and trials of youth ministry.
We have seen a myriad of students commit their lives to Christ for the first and many more rededicate their lives to Christ. The upcoming year fills me with great anticipation and optimism. I sense that God is doing a new work in our student ministries department and seeing God give the increase on the seeds that were planted and watered in the preceding year will be amazing. Thank you all for continued prayers and support.
Blessings in Christ,
Paul Bagai, Director of Student Ministries
