| We have established a partnership with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Many youth volunteered to distribute hot chocolate and clothes to the homeless. This has afforded the students the opportunity to do what Jesus did, reach out to the poor, marginalized and disenfranchised. We continue to partner with City Team Ministries in Oakland and San Francisco. The Junior High students participate in the Oakland ministry by passing our bags of food to low income families. The High school students are involved in the San Francisco ministry, which includes foot washing of the homeless, serving food, prayer and passing out clothes. And as mentioned earlier we are also now serving at St. Anthony’s Dining Hall in San Francisco from time to time. Such ministries have opened the eyes of these young people to what being a follower of Jesus is all about, caring for the least of these and seeing Jesus in them in the process.
A group of 32 youth went to Mexico, east of Tijuana. We built two homes. In addition, some of the students participated in a Vacation Bible School outreach into the Mexican community.
